A smaller, reconfigured show floor
This year the fair occupies about 12% less floor space, and Galleries — the main sector — has roughly 10% fewer exhibitors than last year. That is a deliberate curatorial choice, not a sign of a shrinking market: Art Basel Miami Beach director Bridget Finn has said the goal is to give each presentation room to command attention, replacing five hospitality plazas with four to open up longer sightlines across the Convention Center. Blue-chip galleries that were previously clustered together are now spread across the floor, placing programs of very different scales and geographies closer to one another.
- 272 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and territories
- 254 galleries across four main sectors: Galleries (204), Nova (20), Positions (12), and Survey (16 presentations by 18 galleries)
- Zero 10, the fair's media and digital art sector, adds 22 more galleries and platforms
- More than 30 first-time participants, concentrated in the project-based sectors
Geographically, Brazil is the show's third-largest national contingent this year, with strong participation from across Latin America and the Caribbean. Los Angeles and Chicago galleries also have a notable presence, alongside the expected concentration of New York and European exhibitors.
What's new: Zero 10, public art, and the awards
Zero 10's "Generation" presentation is its largest yet — 19 projects by artists including Jon Rafman, Refik Anadol, and Sarah Meyohas, curated by Karen Archey with Eli Scheinman. Outside the Convention Center, James Turrell is unveiling a new outdoor work that is free to the public, alongside the Public Art Fund's "Between Tides" — playable ping-pong tables installed in Collins Park. The Art Basel Awards Gold Awardees are revealed at an Awards Night on Thursday, December 3, during the VIP preview. UBS continues as the fair's Global Lead Partner.
Planning Miami Art Week beyond the main fair
Art Basel is the anchor of Miami Art Week, but it is not the only fair in town that week. NADA, Untitled Art, and Design Miami historically run alongside it in nearby venues, each with a different character — NADA and Untitled lean toward emerging and mid-career galleries at more approachable price points, which is where the boutique fair circuit tends to draw the most interesting discoveries. Exact 2026 dates for the satellite fairs are confirmed closer to the week itself, so check each fair's own site before building an itinerary around them.
